Beginning January 1, 2010, residents in the Twin Cities area who bag their yard and organic waste will be required to put their waste out for pickup in compostable bags – either paper bags or compostable plastic bags. CLICK HERE FOR MORE DETAILS!
GETTING RID OF YOUR YARD WASTE...
(There is an additional charge for these services in most areas).
The yard waste season will begin the week of April 15th and runs
through the end of November, weather permitting.
- Yard waste will be collected from the curb or alley on your
trash day.
- Bag all grass and leaves (not to exceed 30 lbs. per bag).
- Branches must be 4 inches in diameter or less, and no longer
than 4 feet.
- Bundles should be 20 inches in diameter or less.
- Up to 10 bags or bundles or combination of the two will be
taken each week.
- Regulations prohibit the mixing of yard waste with household
trash.
