We have introduced our new Single Sort Recycling Program to many
parts of the Twin Cities area over the last year or two. One Cart.
No Sorting. No Kidding. It's the easiest way to recycle! For more

Our Two Sort Recycling System is easy too! Please follow these simple
guidelines:
1. Paper Products
Put all recyclable papers into a paper “shopping” bag
(you can use more than one if you need to), and place the bag on
top of, or next to, your recycling bin.
Recyclable papers include:
- Newspapers, magazines, file folders, papers (all colors),
fax sheets, envelopes, catalogs, small phone books and junk mail
- Corrugated cardboard, box board (such as cereal, cracker, tissue,
and shoe boxes). Please flatten, bundle & cut to 3' x 3' x 6" (Please
place next to or under the recycle bin.)

2. Container Products
Put all your cans, glass, and plastic bottles together in your recycling
bin. We will separate them at our recycling facility for you. Please
rinse all containers, and remove lids.
Recyclable container products include:
- Aluminum beverage cans and tin/steel cans
- Glass bottles and jars – three colors only (brown, green,
clear)
- Plastic bottles with a neck such as soda bottles, laundry products,
etc.
Please DO NOT recycle the following items:
- Food tainted items: pizza boxes, frozen food boxes, cups, coffee
filters, paper towels, napkins, beverage and pop cartons, "waxy" items
such as; milk cartons, waxed paper, juice boxes, aluminum foil,
plastic wrap, plastic bags, silverware, and plastic tubs.
- Chemically tainted items: aerosol cans, paint cans, motor oil or
gas containers.
- Bathroom/household items: razors, needles, light bulbs, plastic
bags, and medicine containers.
- Foam items: cups, plates and packaging materials.
- Other items: ceramics, steel and household glasses.
- Plastic bags
- Clear plastic packaging (strawberries, etc.) |
